Little Disappointment

I recently decided that next spring I am going to do a small G scale outdoor layout in our front yard. I have been looking at what's out there now a days and starting the planning stage of it all. My thoughts are work on that during the summer and my HO scale Iowa Eastern RR all the other times.

I am a fan of having printed material for my model railroading over digital. I guess you could say I am a collector of model railroad publications as well. So I went to the first thing that came to mind. An awesome publication that I subscribed to years ago, Garden Railways.

I am a Trains.com member so I have access to all the publications on the site. As with all the publications, you get a deal on the printed versions being a premium member. Well, no subscribe was popping up for Garden Railways magazine. So I thought Hmm?!?! Went to google and searched it.

To my surprise, Kalmabach media stopped production of this fine magazine a few years ago. That saddened me as I was looking forward to getting that like I get my Model Railroader magazine. So down and out, I went back to Trains.com and thought maybe I will just start ordering back issues. There is no way of ordering back issues.

I really wished they would have kept that going. I always thought is was a great publication and helped me all the time when I was modeling in G scale before.

So if someone from Kalmbach media happens to ever see this, PLEASE bring Garden Railways back!
