- slynchDashNov 15OperationsRe: Episode 79 - OPSig link is: https://www.opsig.org/ The Industry databases are here: https://www.opsig.org/Resources/IndustryDB useful for both modelers and prototype information. I had extracted the LIRR information and added proto info to create the listing, for example: http://www.trainsarefun.com/modeling/LIRR%20Industry%20Loads%20Op%20Sig.xlsx OPSig is invaluable for track design concepts, operational insight, do's and don'ts, etc. Try it. - General DiscussionThis layout is to helpful with episode 68 rebuilding. Going through my last 2 designs I stayed with this 3rd design based on 2 things I wanted #1 Railfan/show off the layout #2 Operations I've always enjoyed running trains continuously but also wanted the enjoyment of operations. I also noticed a lot of frustration with creating a story for a freelance railroad, so I stuck with the KCS since it's a railroad near to my heart. Also I wanted something that was never modeled. Remember never be afraid to take down and rebuild a layout until your satisfied with what you want. Here are some photos from my first layout to the current one.
- General DiscussionI'm planning to be there on Monday, August 5th, and Friday, August 9th (with my husband, Michael, and on my birthday!) It would be awesome to meet up with any MRT folks there. https://surfliner2024.org/
